How to create front page content on Joomla.

Once you've logged into your joomla administration section, you will need to go to Content >> Content by Section >> News >> News Items


If you want to edit an existing news item you can click on the name and it will take you through to the edit section. To create a new item - Click on New:


This will take you through to the editing section.

(1. on the image below)  You can add the title, content (intro text)

(2. on the image below) Images within your website need to be uploaded to the "Stories" folder in  Navigation: Site >> Media Manager.



Once they are uploaded, they will become available to us within the left hand block of the Images Tab.



To use images on the content of the page you're editing, you will need to move them over to the block on the right hand side labled "Content Images". the order of the image within this block will determine the order they show up on your page.



(3. on the image below) To place an image in the content / copy of your website you need to click on the button labled “Insert Image”



this will place the word mosimage in the copy of your page. Joomla will replace this with the image you've placed in the right hand block of 2. in the image below.


You may place multiple tags within your content, they will be displayed in the order you've placed them in step 2 above.
 


Once you're finished, click on save:
