What exactly is diskspace?

Disk space is the amount of data you can store on your web host.

Lets use the analogy of a desk. The bigger your desk, the more stuff you can have on it.  Disk space is usually measured in megabytes. A medium sized low resolution image is usually under 0.1 megabytes in size.
